DAN ESAREY – PHOTOGRAPH BONDED TO ALUMINUM – 24 X 36 in

This piece comes ready to hang and showcases Dan’s photography with a brilliant, glossy finish.  The photograph will not fade and can be easily cleaned with glass cleaner.

The location of Monument Rock will surprise a lot of folks as it is in far west central Kansas....where you would expect to find only flat open country.  It's located on private property but Dan obtained permission to spend the night there.  After taking images of sunset, the rising moon shining on the rock face, and stars at night, he settled down to fix dinner and get some rest.  As the coyotes in the area began to smell his cooking dinner, they gathered and came nearby.  Dan estimates that there were a dozen or more of them within 100 yards.  After he cleaned up from dinner they decided they would settle down. He got a few hours of rest and was up before dawn just in time to capture the sun coming thru the opening in this unique rock formation.  For those interested historians, Custer and his 7th Calvary used this route to travel from Ft. Wallace to Ft. Hays in the early 1870's.
